"It's a hardcore crash course in writing!"
- Monty Mitchell
Current Student
The time between deciding you want to try stand-up and actually making any money doing it can be lengthy and humbling. MOST give up before they have success.
These writing and performing classes push you 2-3 years ahead of those who are "winging it." You will have a built in peer group as well as access to information I've gathered in my 17 years in the comedy world.
We cover where to get inspiration, how to write, how to structure and when to tweak your material.
"It covers a wide range of topics, techniques and goodies to get a new comic on the right track."
Mark Anundson
Stand-Up Comic
If you take both the writing and performing classes you'll be guaranteed a spot in the graduation show at Zanies Comedy Showplace in Nashville, TN.
Soon to be scheduled will be a business of Comedy class. This one day seminar will cover everything from how to start getting guest spots, to when to know it's time to headline. We'll also talk about press kits, publicity, taxes, merchandise and a whole lot more.
If you are into Improvisational Comedy, we've got you covered there too!
I began as an Improv guy and will teach you the basics in the Intro to Improv class.
Early registration
is open for all classes. Writing and Improv sessions are limited to 20 students. Performing is limited to 7 per session. And the business class is big enough for EVERYONE interested.
